ABOUT US

Our Mission

PBC leverages a wide range of interventions such as mentorship, educational programming, sports, the arts, wellness, technology, community events, and legal services to break cycles of violence and poverty and create opportunities for at-risk young people.

The PBC team represents a blend of business innovators, community activists, health advocates, those with lived experience and educators, all of whom understand firsthand the challenges our communities face. Their diverse backgrounds give them deep insight into the obstacles we’re tackling and the innovative solutions needed to overcome them.

Together, they bring not only knowledge and skills but a true commitment to creating sustainable, preventative solutions. With a focus on uplifting those in need, we are laying the groundwork for transformative pathways of success, rooted in prevention and hope. Our vision is to create safe spaces for young people to grow, learn, and enable the freedom to dream.

Bobby Shmurda

Founder of PBC

“Life is about growth and learning from every situation. I treat each day I wake up as a gift because I’ve lost friends and know others who are locked away for life. I’m grateful for even the smallest blessings. When I came home from prison my mission was to return to juvenile detention to talk to the kids, to show them there’s hope and other opportunities. Change begins with the next generation- prevention is the first step.”
